A 2 week Art Test I performed for Foundry 42, I was supplied with a piece of concept art and tasked with matching it and creating my own color palette and art style with it. My main goal was to achieve a very high quality finish to the piece, making it look brand new, trying to just bring out forms where possible.
The entire scene only used 3 unique normal maps; one for all the trim details, one for the floor paneling and one which is a tiling texture to add detail to various surfaces. The lighting was setup in a way to show off the surfaces and micro-details of all the shaders and props in the scene.
I passed the art test and made it through to the interview stage.
